Farmer Job in Driving Experience Japan

Farmer is the job Driving Experience Japan added when Kameoka village expanded. It is not a Kyoto city taxi skin. You unlock it at level 25, you start it on the Kameoka Kyoto map, and you run it because village stops beat cramped downtown fares once the briefcase finally offers the role. RayshStudios listed Farmer in the V1.0-era notes alongside NightRace gashapon, phone features, and /setmaxspawn on private servers. The place is still tagged beta. If the prompt moves after a shutdown, trust the live briefcase over an old screenshot.

Unlock Farmer at level 25

You cannot force Farmer at level 4. Drive Taxi or Delivery from the briefcase until you hit 25. Those early stops still pay around 400,000 Yen and teach Kyoto, which is the point of Getting Started. Codes from the trophy (see the codes hub) buy time. They do not skip the level gate.

V1.3 added level rewards and kilometer rewards on top of job pay. Those help the climb. They are not Farmer. When the account shows 25, change maps. Standing in the Kyoto plaza will not spawn a farm marker.

If you are confused about HUD icons, the briefcase is jobs, the trophy is codes, and camera binds are on the controls guide. Farmer uses the same WASD as every other car. No extra job key.

Where Farmer lives on Kameoka

Kameoka is the wide village expansion of the Kyoto map, not Hakusan and not the city grid. Travel from the city onto the village roads, then open the briefcase and take Farmer. Markers send you between fields, sheds, and village lots instead of downtown hotels. If you are still looking at tower blocks, you never left Kyoto city.

Bring a cheap kei, kei-truck, van, or other commercial body. The beginner cars list is the shopping list. A limited supercar from the limited cars list is the wrong tool: long nose, poor visibility in first-person, expensive crumple. Farmer is a work route. Dress it like one. In-game brands (Tokoma, Honard, Naisen, Densu, Starl, Reaxus) all sell something with a short hood.

Night in Kameoka is easier than night in the city because there is more shoulder. If you want cabin camera, try it here before Hakusan. Scroll or the key right of P, as the controls page says. If the dash eats the view, swap back to chase cam and finish the stop.

Why Farmer beats early taxi

Taxi and delivery are excellent tutors. They are also stop-and-go in six-player Kyoto traffic. Farmer keeps the same “drive to the marker, get paid” loop on roads that forgive a missed brake. Over a long session the village wins on time, crash rate, and mood. That is the whole argument. You still want the city loop in your first hour so you can find spawn, dealers, and the Hiace Lucky Box vans.

Do not dump Farmer pay into the 750,000 Yen box until you have a spare stack. Free Lucky Box at spawn still resets around 8pm JST and is worth the drive back. NightRace gashapon is not Farmer. It is an event sink, mostly discussed with mountain play. Keep it off your village budget.

A Kameoka session that does not stall

1. Confirm level 25.
2. Leave Kyoto city for Kameoka. Use the maps hub if you get lost at the boundary.
3. Spawn a kei or commercial car, not a banner piece.
4. Open the briefcase, start Farmer, follow markers without racing NPCs.
5. After a handful of stops, bank Yen. Buy nothing.
6. If you still want mountain roads, park the job and read Hakusan touge instead of dragging a farm truck up the pass.

Hakodate is announced as a later map. It is not a Farmer location today. Hakusan is Ishikawa touge, not farmland. If a friend says “Farmer is on Hakusan,” they mixed the V1.0 job with the V1.2/V1.3 mountain drop.

What to do with Farmer Yen

First, replace a flimsy starter if it keeps rolling. Second, ignore hidden Pagani-class dealers. Third, keep a spare pile for Kyoto errands and the free Lucky Box detour. Fourth, only then look at limited lots or Hakusan event cars.

Private servers still exist if you want empty fields. Public play stays at six drivers. Be polite on village chokes. If you experiment with auto farm or scripts, do it off public boxes. Vehicle tools are for testing, not for crowding Kameoka.

Patch notes belong on the changelog and updates. Community pings sit on Discord and the links hub. Farmer will keep moving while the game is in beta. The constants are the level 25 gate, the Kameoka map, and the fact that a van beats a supercar on dirt.
