Version Changelog

This changelog is the numbered spine of Driving Experience Japan. The studio does not publish Steam-style markdown notes; features land in the Roblox description, Discord, and the client at once. We reconstruct the eras that still affect how you drive, farm, and roll. For a short orientation, use the updates hub. For codes that shipped beside these dumps, use the codes list.

Place 15570520070, universe 5374819012, studio RayshStudios. Released 7 December 2023, still labeled beta, free-to-play, Yen currency, six-player online servers. Maps: Kyoto city, Kameoka village (Kyoto), Hakusan touge (Ishikawa). Hakodate announced as a future map. Brands: Tokoma, Honard, Naisen, Densu, Starl, Reaxus.

Version 1.3 — current live dump

V1.3 is the version the Roblox description advertised with the September 2026 code trio (DEJPSEPT2026, HAPPY10MVISITS, ROADTO40KMEMBERS). Headline contents:

  • 116 new cars. This is a catalog shock, not a tune pass. The tier list and limited cars pages exist because a night this large makes last month’s “best starter” advice stale.
  • NightRace banner. A gashapon / banner track on top of jobs. Budget it separately from Delivery Yen.
  • Kameoka expansion. The village that holds Farmer grew. Level 25 is still the Farmer unlock; the roads around that NPC are not the V1.0 cul-de-sac.
  • Hakusan touge race events. Hakusan the map arrived in V1.2. V1.3 puts timed events on that Ishikawa mountain. Practice the road with the Hakusan guide before you enter a heat.
  • Limited bundles. Timed dealer packages. If you have a code spike, this is the sink that disappears, not the 750,000 Yen box.
  • Lucky Box prizes. Pool changed. Pity from v1.1.5 still applies; the table of cars inside the box does not. Read Lucky Box before you dump 35 normal rolls into an old screenshot.
  • Kilometer rewards. Distance on the odometer now pays. That is a legal idle-adjacent reward that does not need a script.
  • Level rewards. Account level pays on top of job payouts. Farmer at 25 is still a job gate; levels now have their own track.

If you only remember one V1.3 sentence: more cars, more Kameoka, touge as an event, and two new reward tracks (km and level) that make honest driving pay besides jobs.

Version 1.2 — Hakusan and 54 cars

V1.2 is the map patch. It added:

  • 54 cars. Smaller than V1.3’s 116, still enough to reshuffle Kyoto traffic.
  • Hakusan map (Ishikawa). Mountain touge, not a reskinned city. Hairpins, elevation, and a reason to own something other than a Delivery van.
  • Two limited bundles. Early version of the time-boxed shop V1.3 still uses.
  • Banner reward. A precursor to the NightRace banner language in V1.3.
  • Lucky Box prizes. Another pool refresh. Anyone who farmed pity across the V1.2 boundary was rolling a new table whether they noticed or not.

Before V1.2 you could treat DEJP as a Kyoto cruise with jobs. After V1.2 you had a second destination and a reason to learn controls beyond automatic commuting. Scripts that pathfind only in the city started failing here; see auto-farm.

Version 1.1.5 — pity and UI

V1.1.5 is the Lucky Box rules patch. Pity was added so a long normal-box dry streak eventually pays. The spawn presentation — two Hiace vans, free box, paid box — is the UI this version locked in. Current numbers that still matter:

  • Free box resets around 8pm JST and also resets the normal-box count.
  • Normal box costs 750,000 Yen with a 35-roll cap.
  • Elite box needs Robux.
  • Pity exists; it is not a published public formula on this wiki because the studio did not print one in the description.

If an older video shows a box with no pity and no cap, it is pre-1.1.5 footage. Do not use it to budget V1.3 Yen. The tools hub treats these rules as current.

Version 1.0 — Farmer and the job economy

The launch loop is still the economy. Taxi and Delivery exist from early on. Delivery still pays about 400,000 Yen per stop, which is why it remains the honest farm. Farmer is the gated job: unlock at level 25 on the Kameoka (Kyoto) map. V1.0 did not have Hakusan, did not have 116 extra cars, and did not have kilometer rewards. It did have Yen, six-player servers, and the brand roster that later dumps filled.

That is why returning players feel two games at once: the V1.0 job spine, and the V1.2–V1.3 map/car spine. You can still ignore touge events and make money. You cannot ignore Farmer’s level gate or Lucky Box prices.

How to use this changelog after the next dump

When V1.4 or a Hakodate tile lands, walk the same five checks we use on the updates hub: cars, maps, boxes, codes, scripts. Redeem description codes first. Assume tracker codes die. Assume auto-openers click the wrong prize table. Assume limited bundles are shorter than your sleep schedule.

Discord (13+) and the group will shout first. This page will stay the durable list of what each version actually changed for drivers, not a recap of every birthday code. Birthday strings belong on codes; Farmer, pity, Hakusan, and the 116-car dump belong here.

FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions

Quick answers for Kyoto roads, Yen, and DEJP codes.

Which DEJP version added Hakusan touge?

V1.2 added the Hakusan map in Ishikawa. V1.3 added race events on that road. Start with the Hakusan touge guide.

When did Lucky Box pity start?

V1.1.5. Free box still resets around 8pm JST, normal rolls cost 750,000 Yen with a 35 cap, elite needs Robux. Full rules on Lucky Box.

What did V1.3 add besides cars?

NightRace banner, Kameoka expansion, Hakusan touge race events, limited bundles, Lucky Box prize changes, kilometer rewards, and level rewards. Index: updates hub.

Is Farmer a V1.3 job?

No. Farmer is the V1.0-era gated job: level 25 on Kameoka (Kyoto). V1.3 expanded that village; it did not invent the job. Walkthrough: Farmer job.

Did V1.3 add Hakodate?

No. Hakodate remains announced as a future map. Playable tiles are Kyoto city, Kameoka village, and Hakusan touge — listed on maps.

Where should I go after reading this changelog?

Back to the updates hub for the checklist, or to working codes if you are redeeming the V1.3 description strings.
