Driving Experience Japan Taxi, Courier, and Farmer Jobs

Jobs are how Driving Experience Japan teaches its maps without a lecture. RayshStudios pays you in Yen to drive the same Kyoto blocks, Kameoka lanes, and Hakusan approaches you would otherwise wander. Servers hold six players, so a taxi queue is a handful of cars, not a MMO swarm. The game is still beta after the 7 December 2023 launch, and V1.3 added kilometer rewards and level rewards on top of job pay. Work first. Flex later.

Open the briefcase job menu after you spawn. Take taxi or courier immediately. Farmer waits until level 25 on the Kameoka Kyoto map. NightRace gashapon and Hakusan touge events are the sporty cousins of jobs — they pay cars and banners more than they teach city grids. Taxi — Kameoka Station and city fares

The station promo is blunt: “be a taxi driver!” Kameoka Station is the landmark. The Tokoma JPN Taxi is the costume. Any used van with doors that make sense will do. Taxi is the tutorial loop. Fares drag you along the city–village seam until one-ways stop surprising you.

Why taxi first:

• You learn Kyoto night streets while someone else picks the destination.
• You learn where the city thins into Kameoka without opening a wiki mid-drive.
• Pay is honest. It is not the 400,000 Yen courier headline, but it is reliable and it fills the getting started hour.

Do not bring a two-seat Honard sports car. Do not bring a Reaxus lounge. A C-tier taxi body from the vehicles hub is the point. If you crash, you should be able to repair and take the next fare. That is the whole beginner test.

Emergency bodies — ambulances, patrol cars — show up in footage like the video on this page. They are flavor and gamepass shelves, not the Yen backbone. Use them for roleplay on a quiet six-player night. Use taxi and courier when you need the wallet to move.

Courier — shopping plaza deliveries

Courier is the paycheck. A van sits at the shopping plaza with the pitch “be a courier driver!” Stops pay around 400,000 Yen. That number is why new players should own a van before they own a limited bundle. High roof, short nose, calm steering. Densu kei vans work. Tokoma commercial vans work. The 2004 Tokoma Dyna Truck 2.8L Cargo from codes works if you still have it.

Courier teaches a different Kyoto than taxi:

• Plaza to backstreet to plaza, not station to suburb.
• Tight docks and shopping-center aprons.
• A repair bill you can absorb because one stop refills it.

Do not sell the van to roll the 750,000 Yen Lucky Box. Free Hiace spins at spawn are fine. Paid boxes wait until courier has printed a spare stack. Rank leftover drops on the tier list after the loop, not during it.

A 2x paycheck gamepass exists. It is optional. The loop is the skill. The pass is a multiplier you buy after the route is in your hands, not a substitute for learning lights.

Farmer — level 25, Kameoka Kyoto

Farmer is the rural job. It unlocked with the V1.0 Kameoka expansion: find it on the Kameoka Kyoto map, require level 25. Village lanes, farm edges, kei trucks, patience. The Farmer job guide is the dedicated walkthrough. This page only places Farmer in the job ladder.

Do not rush Farmer on day one. Taxi and courier will get you to 25 while they teach the city. When the unlock pops, swap to a Densu kei truck or a compact van. Leave the Hakusan coupe in the garage. Farmer is how Kameoka stops being “the pretty village” and starts being a place you can drive with your eyes on the crop row instead of the mini-map.

V1.3 expanded Kameoka again. If a farm gate moved, trust the current map over an old clip. Kilometer rewards still tick while you crawl. That is the point of a village job in a driving sim.

NightRace, Hakusan events, and “jobs” that pay cars

Not every loop is a briefcase shift.

• NightRace gashapon sits beside the job board as a banner and prize machine. It wants night driving, not a taxi roof light.
• Hakusan touge events from V1.3 pay reward cars. Bring a replaceable A-tier sports car. Read the Hakusan touge guide first.
• Kilometer and level rewards from V1.3 pay you for existing as a driver. They stack with jobs. They do not replace them.

These loops teach Hakusan, not Kyoto. Do not skip taxi because a founder clip of a 787B looked like work. It is not work. It is a mountain trophy. Sort those cars on limited cars.

Jobs are the anti-bundle device. A player who finishes three courier stops can ignore a limited banner. A player who buys the banner first cannot finish the stops. Redeem codes before the first shift so the work car is already in the garage. Then drive. The maps page is the atlas; this page is the reason to open it.

Jobs are the tutorial the game never wrote. Every stop is a map lesson that pays Yen. Park the work van when the streets feel boring — that is when Hakusan is allowed to start.
